15th Street Fisheries
About This Spot
Stepping into 15th Street Fisheries feels like greeting an old friend whose warmth and charm never fade. Nestled right along the shimmering Fort Lauderdale marina, this spot carries a gentle hum of waterfront life — a soothing blend of shimmering boats, the occasional splash of fish below, and the steady clink of glasses from well-tended bars. Whether you find yourself seated at an outdoor table basking in the sun’s glow or upstairs in the spacious dining room with its crisp white tablecloths and panoramic views, the pace here invites a relaxed indulgence in the moment.
The atmosphere strikes a balance between lively and laid-back, making it easy to settle in for a leisurely lunch or a festive evening gathering. There’s a subtle energy generated by conversations meandering through shared plates and vibrant cocktails, carried along by attentive service that feels present without rushing. The small dock-out back where families toss shrimp to waiting tarpon adds a gentle reminder of the playful joy this place quietly cultivates — a true neighborhood gem where generations can find common ground.
Part of the joy in dining here comes from the genuine connection to the waterway in front of you, reflecting in every carefully prepared dish. The kitchen crafts seafood that honors the ocean's bounty without fuss, with flavors that coax nostalgia and new discoveries alike. From crispy fried shrimp that catch the light with every bite to artfully pan-seared swordfish or the richness of a comforting crab cake shared between friends, the menu is an invitation to savor thoughtfully fresh ingredients alongside a glass of chilled Sauvignon Blanc or a perfectly balanced cocktail. You might find yourself lingering over a tart bite of Key Lime Pie or a decadent Ghirardelli brownie, letting the slow rhythm of the day settle in.
15th Street Fisheries offers more than a meal — it’s a place where the waterfront’s calm presence merges with the energy of community, where meals are punctuated by shared smiles and the occasional call of seagulls. It feels like a place you return to not just for the food or drinks, but for the simple pleasure of being part of a scene alive with local life and quiet celebration.

Definitely a nice spot at the canal. Feeding the fish a plus for family with kids. Food is ok but not a 4 or 5 star. Had better chowder in other places. Fish was grilled correctly. Our server Marle was correct but not super nice. Don’t go there with expectations too high. Cocktail was delicious.

I’ve lived in Florida for over 40 years and can’t believe this was my first time at 15th Street Fisheries – what a gem! The atmosphere is amazing, with every table offering a great view of the water. We started with crab cakes and smoked fish dip, and the portions were so big we had to take our meals home. My wife’s Mahi tacos had huge, perfectly cooked pieces of fish (not just slivers!) and my grouper sandwich was massive and delicious. Easily a 10/10 experience – we’ll definitely be back!

First off, just know this restaurant has a small dock you can walk on and feed the tarpon some shrimp! Super cool! Food is great. Fries are crispy. Drinks are good. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area. Server was attentive and wasn't MIA when we needed him. We sat outside and enjoyed the live entertainment. Complementary valet parking. Right behind the Hilton Hotel at the marina (building with lights on the roof and green water is the view from our room, facing North) You can't access by foot from the hotel so you can either take the water taxi (Ft. Lauderdale Tour) or there is on-site parking. Cool place to visit.

15th Street Fisheries is a true Fort Lauderdale icon. We opted for dinner upstairs in the white-tablecloth dining room, where both the food and service were fantastic. We started with their incredible crab cakes and a glass of Sangria. For entrees, we had the Baked Seafood Pasta and the Snapper, served on a bed of coconut rice with a flavorful curry sauce. We wrapped up the night with a slice of Pumpkin Cheesecake that was delicious. If you’ve only ever visited the casual restaurant downstairs, you really need to try the upstairs dining room for a more elevated atmosphere and menu.

15th Street Fisheries is a standout dining experience that perfectly blends great food, service, and atmosphere. The upstairs dining area offers a beautiful setting with stunning views of the Ft. Lauderdale Marina, creating a relaxed yet lively waterfront vibe. With numerous bars throughout the space, bartenders were constantly mixing up delicious cocktails, adding to the energy and enjoyment of the evening. The servers were pleasant, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was excellent from start to finish. The calamari and the jalapeño biscuits set the right tone to start our meal. The snapper filet paired with coconut pineapple rice was flavorful and perfectly prepared, while the baked seafood pasta arrived piping hot and absolutely delicious. As a lovely surprise, the complimentary ice cream sundae dessert was a sweet and satisfying way to end the meal. Between the scenic location, wonderful atmosphere, great drinks, and well-executed dishes, 15th Street Fisheries is a place we’d happily return to and recommend to anyone visiting Fort Lauderdale.

Definitely a place I will come back. My partner and I are always looking for good food and great ambiance.. The clam chowder was one of the best we’ve tried. Everything was delicious. The server was great .

We went to 15 street fisshies and it was great. First let’s talk about the lobster rolls and it was a little juicy and great texture and the Suace made it better it was a decent roll. We also the fish dip that was super crispy crackers and was flavorful and great texture on it. The berry salad and it was fresh and flavorful also. Lastly we had the mahi mahi fish wich was great too with an orange ginger kind of sauce.
